![]() There's nothing weird about loving games and it's a totally harmless hobby. Unless your interest in games is at the point where it's destroying your life, you don't need to explain yourself. ![]() I've never been pushy about my interest in games and I'd advise you not to be either. I've always been the kind of person where if someone doesn't get me, that's their problem not mine. I can't give you any advice on how to cross that gap though. ![]() ![]() Yeah it can be difficult to talk to them, I imagine they feel the same way about me. Thankfully I could play a lot of those games at friends houses. I would've loved to have a NES, a SNES and a Dreamcast as well but it wasn't to be. I had only played Ocarina of Time briefly before I got it with my Gamecube. This may shock some of you but I've never owned an N64 because of that rule. I had a PS2 so I had to wait for years and push pretty hard to get a Gamecube, well into its lifecycle. The worst aspect of it was that I wasn't allowed more than one console from each generation for a long time. I think everyone got nagged to get off the TV from time to time. Even at their worst they've never been obstructive or confrontational about my obsession with games though, at least not since I was a kid and even then it wasn't that bad so maybe I'm lucky. Obviously I have different relationships with individual family members, some of them have been more supportive/understanding and some of them less so. Nobody in my family cares about games so yeah I don't have much in common with them.
